Eight tools read eight ways is how a character dissolves. Each tool receives the same woman described slightly differently, and each description drifts a little further from the last, until the video tool is animating someone the stills never met. The fix used at this post is a marker card: her description written once, in five fixed lines, and read identically by every tool on the route.
The five lines never change order. Age, stated plainly. Hair — colour, length, one habitual style. Build in two or three words. Face — the details that survive a crop. Signature — the one detail that survives even a tight frame. Below the card sits the changing line: outfit, bench, hour, light. That line is supposed to change. The card is not.
Working the route in order keeps the card honest. Stills prove her first at 6 credits a frame. Edits repair the frames that miss by one detail. Swaps carry her face to new sets. Video moves only what the stills already proved, and upscalers finish only what judging has passed.
A route is only as good as its markers. Keep the card word for word, and all eight tools arrive at the same woman.
